한국은 따뜻한 봄이 찾아오고 새로운 학기가 시작되었겠죠? :)

 

부모님의 직장, 또는 아이들의 유학 등 다양한 이유로 필리핀으로 가족과 함께 필리핀으로 이주하는 분들이 계시죠. 이 때, 아이들이 한국에서 재학 중에 전학을 하거나, 취학을 앞두고, 또는 그 보다 더 어린 나이에 아이들과 함께 와서 현지에 있는 동안 취학통지서를 받으시는 일도 있으실 겁니다.

 

오늘은 저희 가족의 경험을 바탕으로 아이들의 전학과 취학 면제에 필요한 서류와 과정에 대하여 간단히 살펴보려 합니다. 아래에 언급하는 내용들은 초등학교 기준임을 참조해주세요.

 

한국에서 필리핀으로 전학 올 때,

1. 한국에 재학 중인 학교에 제출할 서류들로는, 면제 신청서, 가족관계증명서, 주민등록등본, 행정정보공동이용 사전 동의서 (출입국증명용), 개인정보 수집 및 제3자 제공 동의서, 부모님 현지 재직 증명(노동허가증,재직증명서 등), 가족 여권 앞면, 체류 비자, 필리핀 현지 학교 주소,

2. 현지 전학 할 학교 제출할 서류로는 출생증명서(영문), 영문 생활기록부, 학교장 추천서, 성적 증명서, 체류비자 등이 있습니다.

 

초등학교 1학년이 되는 아이는,

1. 한국의 취학 예정 학교에 취학 통지서, 취학 예정 어린이 여권 앞면, 체류 비자, 가족관계증명서, 주민등록등본, 취학의무 면제 신청서, 개인정보 수집 및 제3자 제공동의서, 행정정보공동 이용 사전 동의서(출입국에 관한 사실증명), 부모님 현지 재직 증명 (재직 증명서, 노동허가증 등)

2. 현지 학교에 유치원 성적 증명서, 생활 기록부, 학교장 추천서, 체류 비자, 입학 테스트가 있습니다.

 

면제 신청서, 행정 정보 사전 동의서, 개인정보 수집 동의서 등은 학교에서 제공해 주어서 확인, 서명 후 제출하면되고, 그 외 서류들은 개인적으로 간단하게 준비하실 수 있습니다.

단, 필리핀에서 요구하는 서류 중, 출생증명서와 같이 한국에는 없는 것들이 있습니다. 이럴경우, 전학 할 현지 학교에 대체 가능한 서류를 확인해주세요. 주로 출생증명서 대신에 가족증명서 또는 아이 기준으로 발급받은 기본증명서를 제출합니다. 아포스티유를 요구할 경우에는 온라인으로 발급 받으시면 됩니다.

위에서 언급한 입학 테스트는 간단한 테스트로, 아이들의 영어 이해도와 발달검사 수준이라고 보시면 되겠습니다.

 

전학과 취학 면제, 두 과정을 모두 진행하며 겪은 가장 큰 차이는, 전학할 때는, 한국 학교 담임 선생님께 이메일로 스캔 한 파일들을 보내 드리는 것으로 쉽게 처리되었는데, 취학은 모든 원본 서류를 직접 방문 또는 우편 제출해야 한다고 안내해 주시더라구요.

 

그리고 전학, 취학 면제 모두 학교와 아이, 학부모가 함께 참여하여 영상통화 인터뷰를 진행했습니다. 취학의 경우, 초등학교부터 의무교육에 속하기도하고, 아무래도 요즘 아동 학대와 같은 이슈들이 있다보니, 아이의 신분과 사실 확인 확인 차 이루어지는 과정 같습니다.

 

서류와 내용은 지역, 학교마다 다를 수 있으니, 해당 학교에 정확하게 확인 후 진행해주세요.

Time flies. This time, warm spring has come, and a new school semester has begun in Korea maybe. :)

 

Some of you may be moving to the Philippines with your family for various reasons, such as parents' work, your children's study abroad, or else. At this time, you may be transferring your children’s school from Korea to the Philippines together.

 

Today, based on my experience, I would like to briefly look at the documents and processes necessary for children to be transferring and exempted from attending school. The contents mentioned below are based on elementary/grade school.

 

When transfer a school from Korea to the Philippines,

1. Documents to be submitted to school in Korea; include exemption applications, family relations certificates, resident registration, prior consent for joint use of administrative information (for proof of entry), personal information collection and third-party consent, proof of work (parents’ working permit, certificate of employment, or else), front page of passport of all family members, valid visa, and local school addresses in the Philippines.

2. Documents to be submitted to the local school; include birth certificates, School records, recommendations for principals, and report card.

 

A child who becomes a first grader in elementary school,

1. Documents to be submitted to a school in Korea ; include a notice of attendance of the school, front page of the passport, valid visa, family relationship certificate, resident registration, application for exemption from school duty, collection of personal information and consent to provide it to a third party, prior consent for joint use of administrative information (for proof of entry), , proof of work (parents’ working permit, certificate of employment, or else).

2. Documents to be submitted to a school in the Philippines; include report card of kindergarten (Nursery), birth certificate, recommendations for principals, valid visa, and take an admission test.

 

Exemption applications, prior consent for administrative information, and consent for collecting personal information can be provided by the Korea school to confirm, sign, and submit, and other documents can be easily prepared personally.

However, some of the documents required by the Philippines are not available in Korea, such as birth certificates. In this case, please check the replacement documents at the local school where you are transferring. Usually, instead of a birth certificate, we submit a family certificate, or a basic certificate issued on a child basis. If you require an apostille, you can get it issued online too.

The admission test mentioned above is a simple test, and it can be regarded as the level of children's understanding of English and development tests.

 

The difference between transferring and school exemption was that when transferring, it was easy to send scanned files to the Korean advisor, but for exemption, the school requested that all the original documents should be submitted in person or by post mail.

 

In addition, the school, children, and parents participated in the video call interview for both transfer and school exemption. In the case of entering school, it belongs to compulsory education from elementary, and there are issues such as child abuse these days, so it seems that it is a process to confirm the child's identity and facts.

 

Documents and contents may vary from region to region and school, so please check with the school accurately and proceed.
