Not long ago, I heard from one of my friends about Hangeul School, which is affiliated with the Korean International School in McKinley Hill, Taguig City.
As the name shows, we thought it is a school to learn "Hangeul(Korean letter) and didn't pay much attention, but we found out that it is a place where we could learn Korean subjects and Korean culture.
It is operated only on Saturdays for Korean students who attending local schools, and the semester begins in January every year based on the Korean curriculum.
In addition to the subject class, various programs such as guest lectures, writing contests, children's day event, children's song singing contest, Korean history camp, and Hangawi(Chuseok, Korean Thanksgiving Day) sports event will be held together, so our children will have more fun as we wish and expect.
After attending zoom class for the first few weeks to refurbish the school, it is starting a face-to-face class this week, and it was nice to have the opportunity to watch from the side.
Children who are in elementary school have main subjects and music, and kindergarten has a whole-person education.
The kids really liked that they were taught in Korean with a Korean teacher.
Our youngest, who has no experience in kindergarten or school yet, goes into kindergarten and she is waiting for Saturday to meet teachers and friends.
Older children is waiting to eat Korean snacks sold at the cafeteria.
In principle, tuition is paid in installments twice a year, and we paid 14,000 pesos (per person), about a 22% discounted, because of the discount period for one year.
For first-time students, there are additional 1,000 pesos for admission.
I am sharing some information materials I received below. So you could ask for more details or inquiries through the Korean International School website or the contact information of the information you shared.
